The VMC Pole™ is a rotating and lowering counter balanced cantilevered pole. Supporting sign or surveillance equipment it will be mounted by side of the carriageway. The pole can be rotated off carriageway and then lowered for access to the equipment mounted on it to allow for repairs and regular maintenance. The inbuilt safety features ensure the pole must be fully rotated before the lowering mechanism can be driven.

New designers was just over a month away from when I finished my final year project, I was given this month to improve and tweak my project.
Point Blank is a new way of packaging needles to protect medical professionals hands when re-capping needles, reducing the probability of accidents that can potentially cause HIV or hepatitis. The needles arrive on the ward within a sharps bin, this ensures there are enough sharps bins for the amount of needles on the ward, making handling needles safer.
This university project was all about inverse engineering a current product then re building and re designing it for a existing brand. The selected product was a basic juicer available from tesco direct, and the task was to re-design it for Braun.
Brabantia came to the University with the brief “The Bin of the Future” it was a group project and my group selected the sub brief “Technology and the Bin”. This was all about incorporating technology in a new and useful way within a bin. We created a bin called the “Weigh Bin” it encouraged people to recycle by tracking how much they through away.
This project was all about service design, with the dentist being something that many people fear, the aim was to reduce this fear by redesigning the way the dental service works. This project was to be submitted for the RSA competition.
After the success of the first mirror image web site i designed, the company decided it was time for an update to keep things fresh and boost sales. So they set me the task to design a fresher more modern site using the current logo, as this logo had developed quite the brand.
This project was all about research, the theme was amusement and i focused on communication. I looked into how and why people interact and then created the friend finder, which helps similar compatible people find each other and interact when then are within the same environment eg pub, bus etc
This university project was all about the inner workings of a set of weighing scales, i created a rig and wrote software to convert the strain readings from the rig into a weight value. After the inner workings had been designed the outside then needed to be designed.
This was a CAD and branding design project, The project involved taking the brand “Police” and design a set of sunglasses that would fit into their range and ethos, and then when designed model them in 3D CAD.
